Blood is a liquid within the body of living creatures that provides oxygen and other nutrients throughout the body.

The Goa'uld release naquadah into the bloodstream of their hosts. Symbiote blood is fatal to hosts, and mixing their blood with their host will lead to the death of the host. The Untouched believe that blood is part of their lifeforce, and were offended when Teal'c asked for a sample of their blood. (SG1: "The Broca Divide")
